Week 11 Gameday Injury Report
The injury bug is either getting tired from a season's worth of work, or it's building up strength for another onslaught. Whatever the case, the injury report is not too bad this week, and it's mostly tight ends that fantasy owners will need to check on before kickoff.
Vernon Davis - Davis is recovering from a concussion he suffered last week, and he should be cleared to play if he does not have a setback before gametime. Davis does not have the best matchup this week as the Saints defense has been very strong against opposing tight ends. That said, Davis is the most explosive player in the 49ers passing attack, and they will need him to play big today in order to keep up with Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham. Despite the tough matchup and concussion issues, Davis should be started is all leagues this week. Fantasy owners need to find a backup plan just in case Davis is forced to sit out. Since the 49ers have a late kickoff, picking up a tight end off the waiver wire could be difficult but here are two names that should availible as their teams also have late kickoffs: John Carlson of the Vikings and Andrew Quarless of the Packers.

Martellus Bennett - Bennett apparently suffered an ankle injury midweek, and he is now questionable and will be a gametime decision. The Bears offense should be fine even if Bennett is unable to play, however, it will be a blow to fantasy owners because the Ravens have allowed a tight end to score in 3 of their last 5 games. The Bears have an early game this week, so fantasy owners should be able to find a replacement if one is needed.
Tony Gonzalez - Gonzalez is listed as questionable because of a toe injury, and he is going to be a gametime decision. If Gonzalez does not play, than Matt Ryan and the entire Falcons offense will become a risky fantasy play. Matt Ryan has struggled lately and it is hard to believe he will improve without his trusty tight end on the field. Roddy White will also be severely impacted if Gonzalez cannot play. White is getting close to 100% health, but without Gonzalez to balance out the defense, the Bucs will mostly double cover White all game. Not to Mention Darrelle Revis is also getting stronger each week, and White might not even need to be double covered. The Falcons have not had any reliable fantasy options this year, and if Gonzalez is out, all the Falcons will become very risky starts against an average Tampa Bay defense.
Harry Douglas - The Falcons are not only in danger of missing Tony Gonzalez this week, but there is also a possibility that Harry Douglas will not suit up for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Douglas is suffering from a knee injury and he will most likely be a gametime decision. If Douglas does not play, than Matt Ryan will be an even riskier start, but Drew Davis could benefit and produce a decent fantasy score.
Other Players to Note
Russell Okung - Okung has been activated and might be on the field for Sunday's game against the Vikings. Okung's return would be a big boost to the Wilson and Lynch owners. The Seattle offensive line has struggled since Okung went out with a foot injury, and his return would help the Seahawks offense produce more fantasy points.
Sean Lee - Lee has arguably been the Cowboys best defensive play this year, and they will struggle even more without him on the field. Lee will miss 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury and fantasy owners that have been playing the Cowboys defense should keep an eye on this situation.
Charles Tillman - The Bears lost another defensive star for the season. Tillman was the Bears top corner and he will miss the rest of the year. If you are still counting on the Bears defense to be the starter for your fantasy team, then start searching the waiver wire for other options right now!
Brandon Browner - Seattle's #2 cornerback could miss several games with a groin injury. Browner's absence should not have much of an impact on Sunday's game against the Vikings, but the Seahawks play the Saints after their bye and his absence will be noticed if he is unable to play then.
Arian Foster - In case you turned into a fantasy ostrich because you couldn't bear to face the world, here is a reminder, Foster is officially done for season.
