Week 12 Gameday Injury Report
Julius Thomas - Thomas has become a very tricky play this week since the Broncos kickoff late and there are no good options on the waiver wire from the last four teams to play this week. Thomas is listed as questionable due to a knee sprain, and he is truly a gametime decision. The Broncos are heading to the playoffs, and even though this week's game is huge, they would not have a problem sitting Thomas if they felt he could suffer a setback by playing. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, there will not be a definitive answer on Thomas's status until all the early games have started. Fantasy owners are going to have to make a tough decision on whether to start Thomas or find a replacement.
Adrian Peterson - Peterson has all of a sudden turned into a risky fantasy start. Peterson was held down last week by a groin injury, and he is stilling trying to recover from that injury. Peterson has a great matchup if he can play, and even at 80%, Peterson is still better than most running backs in the NFL. However, there is a risk that Peterson does not play, and Peterson owners should have a reliable backup option ready in case AP does not get on the field.

Trent Richardson - Richardson is list as questionable this week, but his injury should not be a big concern to fantasy owners. Donald Brown has emerged as the running back to start in Indianapolis and Richardson has emerged as one of the biggest fantasy bust of the season. If Richardson does not play, then it means a bigger workload and more production for Donald Brown.
Hakeem Nicks - Nicks has been limited all week, but there are indications that he will play this week. The matchup does not get any better for the Giants as they are taking on the NFL's worst secondary in the Dallas Cowboys. Nicks has not been a solid fantasy option this year, and there is every chance that he will once again be out scored by Rueben Randle. Nicks is a risky start even if he plays, despite the great matchup, and fantasy owners should have a backup option ready.
Joique Bell - Bell has been a very good player this year, but his fantasy production has been very up and down because it has relied on the playing time of Reggie Bush. There is a chance Bell will not play this week, and fantasy owners who have been counting on Bell as a flex option will need to have a replacement ready. If Bell cannot play, then Reggie Bush should be able to produce a very strong game this week against the Buccaneers.
Defensive Injuries to Note
Charles Johnson - Johnson leads the Panthers in sacks with 8.5, and he will not be on the field this week when Carolina takes on the Dolphins in Miami. The Dolphins offensive line is in shambles and the Panthers should be fine without Johnson this week. The Panthers defensive unit has become one of the best fantasy options this season, and despite Johnson's absence this week, they should still produce a solid fantasy score against the struggling Dolphins.
Aqib Talib - Talib is questionable heading into the big offensive showdown in New England where Peyton Manning is paying a visit to his old rival Tom Brady. Talib has emerged as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, and he is desperately needed by the Patriots this week. It is difficult to start any defense that is going up against the Broncos, and it will be especially difficult to the start the Patriots if Talib cannot play.
