Week 15 in the NFL begins tomorrow, and with it comes the continuation (or the beginning, depending on your league) of fantasy playoffs everywhere. With that in mind, let’s check out some of the noteworthy players and situations out there that will be affecting our rosters over the next few days. Here’s the latest.

A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: Despite his string of double-digit fantasy performances (minus that one stinker against Cleveland, that is), Green still has something to prove this year. This will be a crucial matchup in Week 15, not only for his team, but for him as well.
Green will face the Steelers defense, and more specifically cornerback Ike Taylor. The last time these two players met, Taylor got the better end of the deal, holding Green to just 41 yards on six catches in Week 2. Granted, Taylor hasn’t quite been himself since his concussion, so he’s not quite as intimidating statistically as he once was earlier this season. Still, we expect a tense battle between these two on Sunday.

Lamar Miller, RB, Miami Dolphins: Here’s an unexpected development that’s going to impact a lot of fantasy lineups--not to mention potential waiver wire moves. Miller is expected to play this weekend against the Patriots, one week after sustaining a concussion and getting knocked out of the game against the Steelers. Miller rushed six times for 20 yards and caught a pair of passes for 13 more before being injured.
Assuming Miller can overcome the odds and take the field against New England, it puts quite a damper on fellow RB Daniel Thomas’ value. He’d been a popular waiver wire trend early this week, but you can expect that trend to correct itself with this news.

Montee Ball, RB, Denver Broncos: Ball has been a solid fantasy play over the past couple of weeks, and he continues to trend in the right direction. In his last two games, he’s totaled 28 rushes for 194 yards and a touchdown. Much of that is due to the sketchy health of fellow RB Knowshon Moreno, who has dealt with ankle issues recently and just hasn’t been getting the touches he did a few weeks back.
That makes Ball a legitimate fantasy option tomorrow against the Chargers. Sure, there are a lot of big names and not enough balls to go around in Denver, but as a lower-end starter at RB, he makes quite a bit of sense right now.

Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego Chargers: While we’re on the subject of the Chargers-Broncos game, let’s take a look at Gates. After a couple of sketchy weeks in the middle of the season, he seems to have evened out a bit. The problem is, he hasn’t evened out to big numbers. He has at least 50 receiving yards in four of the last six games, and he’s managed to find the end zone once in that span. We know those are hardly elite TE numbers, but in two-tight-end leagues or deep rosters, they may have to do.
Gates’ other issue has been fellow TE Ladarius Green, who has sniped a couple of touchdowns from him over the past few games. That said, Gates is still the elder statesman on the team, and will continue to get at least a handful of looks regardless of who’s around him.
