Week 15 GameDay Injury Report

Cecil Shorts - The Jaguars are going to be very shorthanded on offense this week when they take on the Bills.  Shorts has been ruled out for this week, and that means Ace Sanders and Mike Brown will see increased targets this week.  Another player that may be more involved in the Jaguars passing game this week is Marcedes Lewis. Lewis has caught a touchdown pass in the Jaguars last two games, and he should get a few more targets with Shorts out of the lineup.  The Jaguars are a risky team to invest in this week, but someone is going to have to get the targets and that means there is definitely a deep sleeper on Jacksonville this week.

Maurice Jones-Drew - MJD is going to miss this week as well, and that means Jordan Todman is going to start for the Jaguars.  The Jaguars are going to have to find offense from somewhere this week, and Todman is as likely a candidate to have a big game as anyone else on the Jaguars roster.   Todman is only averaging 3.2 yards per carry this year, but he could get 20 touches in this game.  The Bills have given up over 100+ rushing yards and a touchdown in their last four games, and that means Todman is worth a gamble if your a fantasy owner in need of waiver wire help.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart - It is a sad day in the Fantasy Football World when the Vikings backfield is going to have to be avoided in a semifinal match.  It is not looking good for the Vikings top running backs this week, and that means the Vikings backfield should be avoided.  The Vikings needed a strong run game in this one to control the clock and keep the Eagles off the field, but that is going to be a difficult task with a 3rd string running back going up against an improving Eagles defense that has only allowed 100+ rushing yards twice in their last nine games.  The Vikings defense has been very generous this year, and Nick Foles and company could get up big early, and that would negate any attempt by the Vikings to run the ball. The Vikings backfield does not look good for fantasy owners this week, but if you're desperate, than Matt Asiata would be the running back to gamble on.

Tavon Austin - Austin is in danger of missing the Rams game this week against the Saints.  The Rams need Austin's explosive capabilities in this one, and it will be a shame if he is unable to go.  Since the Rams WRs have not been strong fantasy plays this year, it is hard to believe that one will become relevant this week if Austin can't play.  Zac Stacy and the Rams running game will probably see more work if Austin can't play as the Rams will do their best to keep Brees off the field.

Garrett Graham - Graham is looking like he will miss the Texans game this week, and that could be a big blow to fantasy teams who were counting on him seeing double digit targets again this week.  If Graham does not play, then that means Andre Johnson could be in line for another 15+ target day, and Ben Tate may also catch more passes out of the Texans backfield.  If you were planning on using Graham, then be sure to verify his status before kickoff and have a backup option ready in case he does not play.

Other Player to Note

Tyrann Mathieu - The Cardinals star safety will be out for the rest of the season due to a torn ACL.  Mathieu has been a key piece to the Cardinals defense and his absence will be felt by Arizona.

Reggie Bush - This is not new, and Bush owners know the drill.  If you don't have Joique Bell, than a decision to Gamble on Bush must be made now and not later.

Roddy White - White has been a nightmare all season, and his fantasy owners have become accustomed to him being listed on the injury report.  Since he may not be playing at full health, he is once again a risky start if he does suit up.

Elvis Dumervil - Dumervil practiced this week, but he is not a lock to start on Monday Night when the Ravens take on Detroit.  The Ravens need Dumervil back as the their pass rush has been nonexistent without him, but Stafford owners are hoping he misses one more game.

Michael Floyd - Fantasy owners who have been relying on Floyd the last few weeks will need to check his status before game time.  If he does not play than Andre Roberts and Larry Fitzgerald should see a few more targets.
