TV:

With Week 16 being the championship round in many leagues (and the semifinal in others), fantasy owners have some tough lineup decisions to make this week. Every choice can potentially save or destroy your season, so it’s prudent to check out the matchups on some of the lower-end players out there. With that in mind, we’ve picked out a few lesser-utilized names who have some favorable conditions coming up in Week 16. Let’s take a closer look.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins: Even though it was against a lousy Falcons defense, Cousins proved he could post some great stats in Week 15. His solid effort included a 29-of-45 passing line for 381 yards and three touchdowns. He did have a few blemishes on the day, showing off his inexperience in the face of pressure with two interceptions and a fumble.
Cousins and company will get another softball defense in the Cowboys this week. If you’re looking for a QB to help get you over the hump, he could be it.

Dennis Johnson, RB, Houston Texans: This one’s a long-shot, but he just might work. Johnson was used in a backup capacity last weekend in Indianapolis, spelling starter Ben Tate to the tune of five touches for 15 yards. Those sound like pretty paltry numbers--and they are--but he’s got a good shot at improving on them at home against Denver this weekend. The Broncos’ defense is pretty permissive to opposing running games, and the Texans will have to run a lot of plays to keep pace. Johnson may be left with a sufficient amount of meat on the bone for a reasonable fantasy contribution.

Marvin Jones, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: If Jones is riding your bench right now, Week 16 could be the time to put him in. He’s scored touchdowns in two consecutive games, most recently as part of a five-catch 48-yard effort against the Steelers. Jones earned a healthy nine targets in that one, good enough for second on the team.
The Bengals will get a pretty wimpy Vikings defense this weekend, and we fully expect them to bounce back after a dismal divisional showing.

Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans: Walker is one of the hottest tight ends on the waiver wire right now, and if he’s available in your league you should definitely grab him. Upon returning from a concussion in Week 15, he jumped right back into the fray with an eight-catch, 53-yard effort that yielded a touchdown.
Walker and the Titans will be in Jacksonville to take on the Jags this weekend. He’ll be a big part of their offensive plans in the two remaining games on the schedule.

Cleveland Browns Defense: Even though they ultimately lost to the Bears, the Browns defense put up a good showing in Week 15. They single-handedly kept the team in it, posting a pair of touchdowns, two picks and two sacks.
They’ll carry that momentum into a road game against the Jets this weekend, and with New York all but assured of another non-winning season, they’ll be phoning it in even more than usual this Sunday. Cleveland makes a nice sleeper option at the D/ST slot.
