With a pretty significant NBA schedule on tap for tonight as we kick off the weekend, we’re sure to see plenty of on-court performances that will affect your fantasy team--for better or worse. Before the games tip-off, let’s take our daily look at some of the emerging fantasy trends out there right now and try to see who might make a good fit for your roster in tonight’s games.

Alexis Ajinca, PF/C, New Orleans Pelicans: Ajinca has surged to the top of the waiver wire list after a shoulder injury to Anthony Davis got him some more minutes on Wednesday. He responded with 14 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a block in the loss.
This is more of a reactionary add due to the Davis news, so his owners should definitely check out Ajinca. We’ll get some final details on the situation today and after that will be able to see how things will shake out for the Suns game tonight.

Wesley Johnson, SG/SF, Los Angeles Lakers: Johnson is trending upward over the past day or so, thanks to his output in Wednesday’s game against Memphis. In that contest he logged four three-pointers, 18 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
With Nick Young banged up, it’s a good idea to take a look at Johnson, who has shown that he can hold his own in the lineup. We’ll get to see him in action again tonight in a sweet matchup against the Kings at home.

Kent Bazemore, SG/SF, Los Angeles Lakers: Let’s stick in L.A. for a moment and check out Bazemore, who is making quite a bit of waiver wire noise in his own right. He put up 14 points, two rebounds, four assists and a steal in Memphis, and looks to be pretty comfortable in his role now.
Over the last four games, Bazemore has shown that he’s worth owning in just about every league. He should be able to maintain form the rest of the way and provide some good numbers in the meantime. That’ll start when Sacramento comes to town this evening.

Tony Allen, SG/SF, Memphis Grizzlies: We’ll look at the flipside of Wednesday’s Lakers-Grizzlies matchup now, as Allen deserves your fantasy attention on the other side. He managed 17 points and six rebounds in his team’s victory, which is his third straight six-rebound effort since returning to the lineup (hand injury).
Allen is definitely on a hot streak, so he’ll warrant a look in all but the shallow leagues. The drawback here is that he’s got a few tough matchups looming in the next handful of games, starting tonight in Oklahoma City.

Jarrett Jack, PG/SG, Cleveland Cavaliers: We’ve examined Jack’s play a few times over the course of the season, and he makes our radar once again this morning. He put up 21 points, three rebounds, four assists and a steal against the aforementioned Thunder on Wednesday, which was his third double-digit scoring outing in the last five games.
If you’ve been debating whether or not to add Jack, now is the time to pull that proverbial trigger. His value will be maxed out tonight in a nice matchup against the Jazz.
