Fantasy Football Injury News: Week 14 Outlook on Ailing Players
December 6, 2014
It’s Saturday, and the fantasy football playoffs are officially off and running in many leagues. Before we get our lineups set for tomorrow’s (and Monday’s) games, let’s check out some of the significant injury concerns around the league and see what we can be expecting from some of these key names in fantasy.
Brandon Marshall sustained a pair of broken ribs in the Bears’ Week 14 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. He remained in the hospital yesterday with a lung injury as well.
As far as what Marshall’s status will be for the remainder of the year, there were reports surfacing yesterday that he’s done for the season. The Bears have already said he won’t be playing in Week 15 against the Saints. Fantasy owners should make other plans for Week 2 of the playoffs and beyond.

Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph earned a probable designation with his groin injury this week. Whether or not you want to use him depends on the size of your league, but it is a good matchup against the Jets.
The Browns’ Isaiah Crowell was limited in practice yesterday, his second straight day with that designation. He’s got a hip injury which has him listed as questionable on the injury report for the Colts game.
If Crowell can’t go, we’re looking at a Terrance West day, so keep tabs on him.
In other Browns news, TE Jordan Cameron has been listed as questionable with his concussion. He was able to practice once again yesterday, which is a good sign.
Cameron has been out for the past five games with his latest concussion.
Moving on to the Colts, Both Dwayne Allen and T.Y. Hilton received probable designations for tomorrow’s game against Cleveland.
Allen is dealing with an ankle issue and Hilton has an injured hamstring.
Cowboys QB Tony Romo is reportedly suffering from torn cartilage in his rib--there’s no fracture.
That’s good news for fantasy owners--and the Cowboys in general--as the situation isn’t considered to be serious. He should be good to go for Week 15 against the Eagles, and he’ll get plenty of rest before then.
The Falcons’ Harry Douglas was able to get back to practice yesterday on a limited basis. He’s trying to get over a foot injury.
If Douglas can get into practice today, he should be able to play on Monday against the Packers.
The Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch is probable for tomorrow in Philly. He’s got a back issue, but really there was not much doubt he’d be playing.
