Fantasy Hockey 2014-15: Sleeper Picks 1/10/15
Fantasy Hockey Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
January 10, 2015
We’re heading into a very active day for NHL hockey, so it’s a great time to take stock of your fantasy roster. We’ve got a few sleeper candidates for you this morning that you might just be able to exploit before your league-mates find out about them. Let’s take a closer look at the numbers and see if anyone’s right for your roster.
Derick Brassard, C, New York Rangers: Brassard isn’t much of a secret these days, as he’s probably the most added player in the fantasy game right now. He’s coming off a two-assist night in a comeback win over the Kings, which gives him three goals and three assists in his last four appearances.
Brassard and the Rangers are riding high right now. He’s got 11 goals and 22 assists on the season and needs to be owned just about everywhere.

Justin Abdelkader, LW/RW, Detroit Red Wings: It’s been a few days since Abdelkader and the Red Wings have played, so let’s recap. He’s got three assists and two goals in his past two games with a plus-3 rating in his last four appearances.
With Abdelkader getting pretty good minutes-loads these days, he’s making his ice-time count. He has 11 goals, 12 assists and a plus-8 rating on the season, and should be picked up before the Red Wings finish off their road trip.
Eric Fehr, RW, Washington Capitals: The Caps are getting some nice production out of Fehr this season, so you won’t hear them complaining. He came up empty in his last outing--save for a couple of shots on goal--but before that had six goals in a five-game stretch.
Fehr is a little further down the food chain than some of the top guys out there, obviously, but he still has 13 scores and seven helpers so far this year. You can’t ignore that kind of production, so feel him out this weekend.
Colin Wilson, C/LW, Nashville Predators: Wilson continued his run of solid production in his last outing Thursday against Dallas. He posted an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-1 rating in that one. That gives him three assists and a score in his last four games.
Wilson is riding quite the hot streak these days, posting 11 goals, 13 assists and a nice plus-18 rating on the season. He may not be able to maintain this clip, but you can enjoy it while it lasts.
Paul Stastny, C, St. Louis Blues: Stastny (and just about everyone on the Blues roster) got in on the action during St. Louis’ 7-2 blowout of San Jose on Thursday, posting a goal, an assist and a plus-1 mark.
Stastny has 11 shots on goal in his last two games combined, so he’s getting a few more chances to produce these days. He has two goals, two assists and a plus-2 rating in that frame. If he’s still out there in your league, grab him before Carolina today.
