Fantasy Hockey Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
February 21, 2015
With a very busy schedule in the NHL today, it’s time once again for us to check out the waiver wire in the world of fantasy hockey and see if there are any sleeper prospects out there worth picking up. We’ve got our usual lineup of trending players today, so let’s take a closer look at the stats and see if anyone’s right for your team.
Tyler Myers, D, Winnipeg Jets: Myers is one of the top waiver wire adds right now, as he’s quietly been putting together a nice run. He’s on a three-game points streak at the moment, providing three assists and a goal in that time.
Myers has five goals and 12 assists on the year, with much of his success coming in Winnipeg. He seems a good fit for that team and we see good things ahead for him.

Milan Michalek, LW/RW, Ottawa Senators: Michalek has been on quite a run recently. He’s provided two assists and three goals in his last three games, with 14 shots on goal in that span.
Michalek has eight scores and five helpers in just his last 15 games, which is crazy considering he only has 22 points on the year. He’s a streaking pickup and is worth an add as long as he can maintain production.
Curtis McElhinney, G, Columbus Blue Jackets: For net-minders today, we’re looking at McElhinney, who is probably the most added guy at his spot over the past day or so. He’s got three straight wins under his belt and is coming off a stellar performance against the Penguins.
McElhinney is 10-9-1 on the year right now and playing better every game. He has a 2.71 GAA and .918 save percentage, with all his stats moving in the right direction. He’ll be in Montreal tonight.
Anders Lee, C/LW, New York Islanders: Lee and the Isles have been on quite a dominating run recently, and it’s showing in his stats. He’s got points in six of his last seven, providing four goals and six assists in that span.
Lee has 19 goals and 11 assists on the season and is rocking a plus-9 rating. He and the Isles will be in DC to visit the Caps in the early game today, so make sure you check him out before then.
Trevor Daley, D, Dallas Stars: Let’s finish up on defense today and check out Daley. He’s hot in the fantasy game right now due to his goal and assist in the loss against San Jose on Thursday.
Daley has a total of 15 goals and 14 assists on the season, so he’s definitely no stranger to scoring. If the Sharks game was a start to a solid run, you’ll want to get on the bandwagon now while you can.
