Fantasy Hockey 2014-15: Waiver Wire Update 3/3
Fantasy Hockey Daily Leagues: Waiver Wire Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
March 3, 2015
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time once again to check out some of the options out there on the fantasy hockey waiver wire. We’ve got our usual roundup of interesting options ahead of tonight’s packed 10-game schedule, so with that said let’s take a closer look at the stats and see if anyone’s right for your roster.
Mike Hoffman, C/LW, Ottawa Senators: It’s been a couple of days since we’ve seen Hoffman on the ice, so let’s refresh our memories as to his recent play. He’s coming off a two-goal, one-assist game against the Sharks, giving him five points in the last three games.
Hoffman has been peppering in the points with a very nice regularity recently, giving him 23 goals and 16 assists on the year. He’s a must-have player right now and is one of the hottest rookies in the league.

Andrew Hammond, G, Ottawa Senators: Speaking of must-have players, we don’t have to leave Ottawa just yet to find another one. Hammond has been crushing lately, racking up five wins in a row. That includes a perfect three-game road trip so far.
There are still two more road games for the Sens before they return home, starting tonight in Minnesota. We’ll see if Hammond can keep his mojo going and improve on that stellar 1.31 GAA.
Michael Del Zotto, D, Philadelphia Flyers: Del Zotto hasn’t played in a couple of days either, so let’s check him out. He has seven points in his last eight games, including three goals and four assists.
Del Zotto has eight goals and 17 helpers so far this year, much of it coming in recent games. If you’re in need of defenseman depth (and who isn’t?) he’s your guy right now.
Michael Cammalleri, C/LW, New Jersey Devils: Now let’s head over to Jersey and check out Cammalleri. He has a nice six-game points streak going right now, during which he’s posted five goals and three assists.
Cammalleri has a team-high 23 goals on the season so far, to go along with 10 assists. He’s one of the few real bright spots in fantasy on the Devils roster, so make sure you pick him up if he’s available.
Erick Cole, LW/RW, Detroit Red Wings: Now let’s finish up with a speculative move up in Detroit. Cole was traded to the Red Wings from Dallas this weekend in exchange for a couple of prospects and a second-rounder.
Cole is 36 and in the final year of his deal, but should give the Red Wings some solid depth at the wing. He’s got 18 goals and 15 assists this year, with a good shot to improve on those numbers in the Motor City.
