Fantasy Football 2015: Week 2 Waiver Wire Update
Taking a Look at the Week 2 Waiver Wire Trends
September 15, 2015
We’re officially all finished up with the first fantasy football week, and we hope your team is sitting pretty heading into Week 2. If not, there are plenty of waiver wire adds out there to help get you back on the right track. Let’s take a look at some of the trending players to see if anyone’s worth picking up.
Donte Moncrief, WR, Indianapolis Colts: We had a couple of big injuries to wide receivers this week, leading to some waiver wire trends. Moncrief is the first; he posted six grabs for 46 yards and a score in Week 1 in the wake of T.Y. Hilton’s injury (he’s supposedly day-to-day).
Moncrief got 11 targets in Buffalo, indicating he may well be a big part of the offensive plan this year. He’ll get a matchup against the Jets on Monday.

Terrance Williams, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Williams is another guy who gets an up-tick in fantasy stock following an injury (Dez Bryant, who is out 4-6 weeks). He posted five grabs for 60 yards on eight targets against the Giants.
Williams was already owned in about half the fantasy leagues out there, but he’ll see a big jump this week. He gets Philly on Sunday.
Ladarius Green, TE, San Diego Chargers: Green burst out of the gate with five grabs on six targets for 74 yards and a score against Detroit. He’s benefiting from Antonio Gates’ four-game suspension.
Green looked really good in Week 1, and enters this upcoming matchup against the Bengals as a realistic starter possibility. Things will get weird when Gates comes back, though.
David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals: Johnson got one touch in the Cardinals’ win over the Saints this week, but it was a huge one. He bagged a 55-yard touchdown catch to seal the team’s victory.
With Andre Ellington hurting, Johnson bounds onto the fantasy radar. He’ll have to contend with Chris Johnson for touches in Chicago, but seems to have a higher ceiling.
Bishop Sankey, RB, Tennessee Titans: Let’s finish up today with Sankey, who posted a strong 20.6-point fantasy outing in Week 1 with 74 rush yards and a TD, as well as 12 receiving yards and another score.
Sankey did some dropping/fumbling as well here, but comes out of Week 1 as a true flex consideration. He’ll get the Browns in Cleveland Sunday.
