Here is my lineup for tonight’s games. Please note that I’m using the salary cap based on FanDuel prices.

Also, as this is written the day before/morning of the games, please check the lineups and weather to ensure you have all active players going tonight and that any pitching matchups mentioned below haven’t changed. Good Luck everyone!
Pitcher – Adam Conley – Miami Marlins
There are a few solid options at the pitchers position on Wednesday but I’m going to roll the dice and take a chance on the left-handed Adam Conley of the Miami Marlins. Conley has been solid since being called up to the majors as he is currently posting a 4.22 ERA and 1.39 WHIP on the season while striking out 44 batters in 49.0 IP. Conley has a solid matchup on Wednesday as he will be facing the Philadelphia Phillies who are currently hitting .257 on the season against LHP. The Phillies currently rank 14th in MLB in total strikeouts on the season. Conley is currently posting an 8.1 K/9 ratio and has a strikeout percentage of 20.1%. Conley is currently holding opposing batters to a .273 average and .768 OPS on the season. Conley was solid in his one start against Philadelphia this season as he lasted 6.0 innings, giving up just one run on three hits while striking out five and I’m hoping he can put up a similar performance on Wednesday and get us around 15 points.
Catcher – Travis D’Arnaud – New York Mets
Travis D’Arnaud has struggled as of late hitting just .053 (1-19) over the past week but I’m still going with the Mets catcher as on the season he has posted a .278 average with 12 HR’s and 41 RBI’s. D’Arnaud has a great matchup on Wednesday as he goes up against the right-handed Williams Perez of the Atlanta Braves. Perez comes into the contest with a 5.16 ERA and 1.57 WHIP and has really struggled since the All-Star break as Perez has posted a 7.24 ERA in 10 starts. Perez is currently allowing opposing hitters to post a .292 average and .808 OPS on the season. D’Arnaud currently has a .801 OPS against RHP’s on the season and is hitting .304 so far in the month of September. D’Arnaud has had success against Perez in his career as he has posted a .667 (4-6) average with a HR and 4 RBI’s. D’Arnaud has a .787 OPS against the Braves this season and as he has had success against Perez in the past, I think he is worth the investment on Wednesday.
First Base – Justin Bour – Miami Marlins
Justin Bour has been on fire as of late as the slugging first baseman is hitting .417 with 2 HR’s and 8 RBI’s over the past week and as he has one of the best matchups of the night going up against the right-handed David Buchanan of the Philadelphia Phillies, he is showing great value at a cost of just $2900. On the season, Bour has been solid as he is hitting .262 with 18 HR’s and 62 RBI’s. Buchanan has really struggled this season as the right-hander is currently posting a 8.49 ERA and 1.99 WHIP in his 12 starts this season. Buchanan has not fared well against LHB’s this season as he is allowing LHB’s to post a .354 average, .602 slugging percentage, and 1.049 OPS. Bour has hit all 18 of his HR’s against RHP this season and as he has a .810 OPS against RHP’s on the season, he is a great play on Wednesday.
Second Base – Daniel Murphy – New York Mets
Daniel Murphy has had a decent season with the Mets as the veteran second baseman is hitting .279 on the season with 12 HR’s and 67 RBI’s. Murphy has been solid over the past week as he is hitting .333 (6-18) with a double, triple and a HR. Murphy will be up against the right-handed Williams Perez who comes into this matchup allowing LHB’s to post a .309 average, .488 slugging percentage, and .873 OPS. Perez hasn’t been great against the Mets this season as in 2 starts and 1 relief appearance, the right-hander has posted a 4.85 ERA while giving up 7 runs on 15 hits and 5 BB’s over 13.0 IP. In his limited experience against Perez, Murphy has posted a .667 (2-3) average with 2 doubles. Murphy has fared a lot better against RHP this season as he has posted a .289 average and .807 OPS. Murphy has hit 11of his 12 HR’s against RHP this season and I’m hoping that he can collect another one against Williams Perez on Wednesday.
Shortstop – Andrelton Simmons – Atlanta Braves
Andrelton Simmons is not really known for his bat as the shortstop is currently hitting just .259 on the season with 3 HR’s and 40 RBI’s on the season, but as I want to load up on a good OF tonight, I’ll take my chances with Simmons as he has a great matchup against the right-handed Bartolo Colon of the New York Mets. Colon comes into the game with a 4.15 ERA and 1.24 WHIP and has had some trouble with the HR ball as he has given up 24 HR’s so far on the season. Colon is currently allowing opposing hitters to post a .282 average and .749 OPS on the season. In his career against Colon, Simmons has been outstanding as he has posted a .550 (11-20) average and a 1.321 OPS. Simmons has been better against RHP on the season as he has posted a .270 average and .678 OPS and I’m hoping that he can put together another 3 for 4 performance against Colon and the Mets as he did recently did on September 10th.
Third Base – Adrian Beltre – Texas Rangers
Adrian Beltre has been on an absolute tear as of late as he has posted a .545 (12-22) average with 4 doubles and 7 RBI’s over the last week and is currently hitting .276 with 15 HR’s and 62 RBI’s on the season. Beltre has a great matchup against the left-handed Felix Doubront of the Oakland Athletics who comes in with a 4.95 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Doubront hasn’t pitched great lately as over his last four starts he has allowed 18 ER’s in 22.1 IP. Doubront has struggled against RHB’s as he is allowing RHB’s to post a .307 average and .828 OPS. Beltre has owned Doubront over his career as he has posted a .636 (7-11) average with 2 doubles, 2 HR’s and 9 RBI’s against the lefty. Beltre is currently posting a .284 average and .849 OPS against LHP on the season. Beltre has hit 3 HR’s against the A’s this season and as he is currently on fire and has crushed Doubront over his career, he is a great play at a cost of just $3300.
Outfield – Bryce Harper – Washington Nationals
Bryce Harper is once against on one of his hot streaks as the right-fielder is hitting .545 (12-22) over the past week with 4 HR’s and 9 RBI’s. Harper has pretty much wrapped up the NL-MVP award with his great September as on the season, Harper is currently hitting .342 with 41 HR’s and 95 RBI’s. Harper has a decent matchup against the right-handed Chris Tillman of the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday who comes into the game with a 5.19 ERA and 1.39 WHIP. Tillman has struggled in the month of September as over his four starts for the month, the right-hander has posted a 9.64 ERA. Harper has crushed RHP on the season as he has posted a .353 average and an incredible 1.214 OPS. Harper has posted a .435 average and 1.543 OPS in the month of September and although he will cost a good chunk of your salary, he is worth the investment against the Chris Tillman on Wednesday night.
Outfield – Carlos Gonzalez – Colorado Rockies
Carlos Gonzalez is hitting just .262 on the season but has certainly displayed his tremendous power as the Rockies right-fielder currently has 37 HR’s and 90 RBI’s on the season. Gonzalez has been up and down all year and although he is currently just 2 for his last 21, I’m still going to stick with Gonzalez as he will be at Coors Field on Wednesday and has a favorable matchup against the right-handed Charlie Morton of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Morton comes into the game with a 4.26 ERA and 1.32 WHIP and struggled in his recent outing against the Cubs as he lasted just 4.0 innings giving up 5 ER on 9 hits and 2 BB. Morton has struggled a bit against LHB’s this season as he has allowed LHB’s to post a .285 average and .851 OPS against him. In his career against Morton, Gonzalez has posted a .333 (6-18) average and .956 OPS. Gonzalez has fared much better against RHP’s this season as he has posted a .292 average with 33 HR’s and as Gonzalez is hitting .291 with 22 HR’s at Coors Field, he is a great choice at a cost of $4200.
Outfield – Marcell Ozuna – Miami Marlins
Marcell Ozuna is currently hitting .250 on the season with 9 HR’s and 40 RBI’s but I’m going to go with the Marlins center-fielder as he has a great matchup against David Buchanan of the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. Buchanan is currently posting an 8.49 ERA and 1.99 WHIP on the season and has given up 24 ERS in his last 15.0 IP. Buchanan has had difficulties against RHB’s on the season as he is allowing RHB’s to post a .368 average and .977 OPS. Ozuna has hit 7 of his 9 HR’s against RHP on the season and has posted a career .333 (2-6) average against the right-handed Buchanan. Ozuna has fared well against the Phillies this season as he has posted a .375 (15-40) average and 1.019 OPS and as he does have some decent power, he is worth the risk on Wednesday night.
