Fantasy Football 2015: Injury Update 10/19
Taking a Look at the Injured Fantasy Stars Heading into Week 7
October 19, 2015
It’s a fantasy football Monday, which means this is a great time to check out some of the notable injury situations out there. We’ve definitely got some key players ailing right now, so let’s see if we can get a feel for their statuses for Week 7.
Ty Montgomery of the Packers came out of the Chargers game due to an ankle injury. We’ll get some more info on him today, but the initial reports have him potentially missing time.

Jaguars WR Allen Robinson suffered a leg contusion in a pretty bad collision with another player yesterday. He seemed to get the lesser of the damage there, however.
Robinson was seen using a crutch after the game, so he may be a little banged up.
The Bills lost Sammy Watkins yesterday in their loss. Watkins hurt his ankle on a 22-yard TD and had to be helped to the locker room. He reportedly has a sprain.
That’s a big blow for a team already missing Percy Harvin due to a hip injury.
Jeremy Maclin of the Chiefs had to leave yesterday’s game against the Vikings due to a concussion.
Maclin was never officially ruled out, but didn’t come back. He’ll have to clear protocol this week.
Carlos Hyde had to exit the Niners’ Week 6 victory over Baltimore briefly due to his troublesome foot. The good news here is that Hyde says he didn’t suffer a setback with his injury.
It looks like this foot issue is simply something Hyde will have to deal with; he’s got a quick turnaround before Thursday’s game.
Michael Vick had to leave the Steelers’ win over Arizona yesterday due to a hamstring injury. It’s probably a good thing he did; Pittsburgh gained some offensive life afterward.
This may be a moot point anyway, as Ben Roethlisberger seems to be close to a return and Vick was never a viable fantasy option regardless.
Ameer Abdullah suffered a stinger yesterday while recovering his own fumble in the Lions OT win over the Bears. He should be okay for next week, but may have lost some favor due to the fumble.
The Broncos’ Emmanuel Sanders sustained a sprain to his AC joint in yesterday’s OT win. He was able to come back in for one play in the extra period but nothing further.
Sanders will have two weeks to recover, as the Broncos are on a bye this week. Keep an eye on it if you’re an owner.
