Fantasy Football 2015: Week 7 Waiver Wire Update
Taking a Look at the Week 7 Waiver Wire Trends in Fantasy
October 20, 2015
It’s Tuesday and we’re heading into fantasy football Week 7. That means it’s time to take our weekly look at the waiver wire and see which players are trending out there. Here’s a brief rundown so you can see if there’s anyone on the wire worth adding.
James Starks, RB, Green Bay Packers: Something seems amiss in the Packers backfield, and Starks is taking clear advantage. He had a great game on Sunday, outperforming No. 1 RB Eddie Lacy with 10 rushes for 112 yards and 23.7 total fantasy points.
Starks simply seems to be playing better than his counterpart right now. The team is heading into a bye, but Lacy owners and deeper-league teams need to pick him up now.

Pittsburgh Steelers Defense: The Steelers have been pretty darn impressive on defense lately. They’ve got three double-digit performances in the last four weeks and are coming off a great effort against the Cardinals in a shocking win.
The Steelers offense should be able to give the D a little more help when Roethlisberger gets back, which could be as early as this week against the Chiefs.
Stefon Diggs, WR, Minnesota Vikings: Thanks to some injuries in the WR corps, Diggs had a breakout opportunity in Week 6. That’s just what he did, posting seven receptions for 129 yards.
Diggs tied for the team lead on targets and showed some solid playmaking ability. He’s a nice deeper-league pickup heading into the Lions game.
Christine Michael, RB, Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys were on a bye in Week 6, but that didn’t stop the rumor mill from swirling around Michael. He’ll reportedly be a bigger contributor to the offense in the team’s Week 7 game against the Giants and beyond.
The Cowboys are frankly pretty desperate for playmakers on offense. Michael should get an opportunity to show his stuff in Week 7; we’ll see what he can do with it.
Brandon LaFell, WR, New England Patriots: The Pats offense has been doing just fine without LaFell, but could get even better with him back in the mix. He’s eligible to get back to the field this week against the Jets and should jump right into the thick of the game plan.
LaFell will have to contend with Edelman, Gronkowski and Amendola for targets but QB Tom Brady should end up making a conscious effort to get him involved. He’s pretty much a must-add in fantasy.
