Fantasy Football 2015: Week 15 Sleeper Picks
Taking a Look at the Week 15 Waiver Wire Trends and Sleeper Pickups
December 18, 2015
It’s Friday, and we’re already wading into the Week 15 fantasy football action. Today’s the day when we take our weekly look at the sleeper options out there on the waiver wire, so let’s check the numbers and see what some of the low-end players are doing heading into a very important week.
Christine Michael, RB, Seattle Seahawks: If you’re down at the bottom of the barrel and need a running back, check the Seahawks backfield. Michael and Bryce Brown are expected to share the early-down work this weekend, with Fred Jackson coming on in passing situations.
Trying to determine which player will get the most touches is an exercise in futility. The good news is the Seahawks have a favorable matchup against the Browns on Sunday, so we could see a healthy dose of touches for everyone.

Mike Tolbert, RB, Carolina Panthers: Here’s another situation to check out if you’re hurting for a running back. Tolbert got six carries in the Atlanta rout, turning them into 17 yards. He’s been more productive when he can get goal-line work, which happened more often in Week 13 against New Orleans.
Tolbert will be out-carried by Jonathan Stewart, that much is for sure. That said, he’s got a great matchup against the Giants this weekend and if he can get a TD he’ll be a nice low-end play.
Alex Smith, QB, Kansas City Chiefs: Smith is still available in about 2/3 of the fantasy leagues out there, and he’s got some nice matchups down the stretch. He’ll see the lowly Ravens this week, then get the Browns at home in Week 16.
If you’re streaming quarterbacks, Smith is a good low-cost option. He’s got at least 21.7 fantasy points in two of the last three weeks.
Leonard Hankerson, WR, New England Patriots: Hankerson isn’t quite back to 100 percent following his most recent hamstring issue, but he’s getting there. He’s practicing this week, and has a decent chance at suiting up against Denver on Sunday.
The Patriots are in desperate need of warm bodies at WR, and Hankerson could make an immediate impact if healthy. After the nice matchup against the Titans this week, he gets the Jets and the Dolphins.
Will Tye, TE, New York Giants: Those fantasy owners in the market for a low-end TE this weekend will want to kick the tires on Tye, who has at least seven fantasy points in his last three outings. He’s coming off five catches for 30 yards and a TD in Miami.
Tye’s matchup this weekend (Carolina) isn’t that great, but he’s been pretty involved over the past couple of months, with at least six targets in four of his last five games.
