Fantasy Hockey 2015-16: Waiver Wire Update 1/21
Fantasy Hockey Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
January 21, 2016
We’ve got a heavy 10-game load in the NHL tonight, which means there will be plenty of action going on in seasonal and daily fantasy hockey leagues. Before we get those lineups set, let’s check out some of the notable waiver wire adds out there and see if anyone’s worth picking up.
Vincent Lecavalier, C/LW, Los Angeles Kings: Lecavalier is at the top of the waiver wire charts right now, thanks to a nice run of games. He’s got a goal in each of his last three appearances, and four points since he came back to the lineup.
Lecavalier has some nice upside, and if he can catch on in Los Angeles (the way he failed to in Philadelphia) this should continue. He gets the Wild tonight.

Vladislav Namestnikov, C, Tampa Bay Lightning: Tampa Bay is on a great run right now, and Namestnikov is enjoying all of it. During this current six-game win streak, he has four goals and six assists to his credit.
Namestnikov is having a career year so far with 25 points and a nice plus-15 rating. The Lightning will see the Blackhawks in a great-looking game tonight.
Tomas Hertl, C/LW, San Jose Sharks: Hertl has been on an impressive run lately. In his last six games, he has four goals and three assists with an awesome plus-8 rating.
Hertl has eight goals and 14 assists so far this year and is playing well with his current linemates. He will be in Arizona tonight to try and keep this streak going.
Lee Stempniak, LW/RW, New Jersey Devils: Stempniak is still available in about 60 percent of the leagues out there, and that’ll change if he keeps playing the way he is right now. In his past two games, he has a goal, two assists and a plus-3 mark.
On the season, Stempniak has posted 11 goals and 22 assists. He’s plus-4 overall, and will try to better that tonight when the Senators come to town.
Andrew Shaw, RW, Chicago Blackhawks: It seems the Blackhawks can do no wrong these days, and that includes Shaw. He has two goals and five assists over his last six games, and a plus-8 mark over his last seven.
Shaw has eight goals, 15 assists and a plus-12 rating thus far. If you love hockey at all, you’ll want to watch him and the defending champs collide with the Lightning in Tampa tonight.
