Fantasy Basketball 2015-16: Injury Update 1/25
Fantasy Basketball Daily Leagues: The Latest News and Outlooks on Ailing Players
January 25, 2016
We’ve got a big NBA schedule tonight, so there will be plenty of action going on in seasonal and daily fantasy basketball leagues. With that in mind, let’s check out some of the current injury situations out there and see what type of impact they’ll have on our rosters in the next few days.
Blake Griffin was out of action once again in yesterday’s game against the Raptors. The Clippers have been playing quite well with him out of the lineup, though, so the team isn’t pushing it.
Griffin is dealing with a quad injury and likely won’t see the court for the rest of the road trip (he’s tagged as doubtful). We’re looking at a January 29 return against the Lakers in a best-case scenario, but even that is in question at this point.
The good news for Griffin owners is that when he does come back, he should be 100 percent after all this rest.

Hassan Whiteside owners will want to keep a close eye on any news out of Miami following today’s shoot-around.
Whiteside is nursing a hip injury, and said he was in pain while doing a shooting drill while practicing yesterday. He’s also dealing with pain when he twists his torso.
Whiteside is listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Bulls, but we’d imagine he’ll sit. That means more looks for Amare Stoudemire and Udonis Haslem while Chris Bosh fills in the gaps.
While we’re on the subject of the Heat, Goran Dragic will be out of action tonight. His earliest return would be Friday. Dragic has a calf injury.
As for Dwyane Wade, he should be fine for tonight in spite of his shoulder issues.
Tim Duncan (knee) won’t be available against the Warriors tonight, but everyone else should be able to take the court. Duncan’s owners should start getting used to random rest days at the very least as we move down the stretch of the season.
That means Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and LaMarcus Aldridge (who is fighting off back spasms) will all be out on the court in this must-see Western Conference game. It should be a great one.
Kenneth Faried is questionable for tonight’s game against the Hawks. He’s fighting off a groin injury that he categorized as “significant,” so we’re not hopeful of his availability.
As for Jameer Nelson, his wrist injury has him doubtful for tonight’s contest. Look for more Emmanuel Mudiay and Randy Foye in his absence.
Dwight Howard missed another game yesterday against the Mavericks, thanks to that ankle injury.
Howard has been out for two straight matchups, but seems to be getting closer. His return looks imminent. ]
