Fantasy Football Update 9/20/16: Week 3 Sleeper Picks
Fantasy Football Sleepers and Waiver Wire Picks for Week 3
September 20, 2016
Week 2 in the NFL has officially closed up shop, and we hope your fantasy football team is doing well. If not, come on over to the waiver wire with us this morning so we can check out the trending pickups and sleeper options heading into Week 3.
Jacob Tamme, TE, Atlanta Falcons: Tamme is one of the trendier sleeper tight end pickups out there right now, as he had a solid Week 2. Against the Raiders, he bagged eight targets, five catches and 75 yards with a touchdown.

That gives Tamme a total of 16 targets through two games, which is a nice total to indicate his importance in the game plan. He’ll be in New Orleans in Week 3.
Matt Asiata, RB, Minnesota Vikings: With Adrian Peterson gone indefinitely, Asiata is getting a bump in value this week. He’ll cede most of the carries to Jerick McKinnon, but Asiata will get the goal-line work and probably be the third-down guy.
We haven’t seen much of Asiata this year (only 10 carries) but He may have a fairly prominent red-zone role against Carolina.
Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears: Let’s stick with RB for a moment and check out Howard. Bears starting back Jeremy Langford was again fairly limp against the Eagles yesterday, and Ka’Deem Carey left with a hamstring injury.
Langford seems to be in danger of losing his starting job if he continues to underwhelm, and Howard has looked pretty darn good in limited action. Hell be in Dallas this weekend.
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Miami Dolphins: Tannehill has had one decent game and one bad game this year. His decent one came this week against the Patriots, when he tossed for 389 yards, two touchdowns and two picks.
Tannehill was on the downswing after Week 1, but gets a boost heading into this week. He’ll get the Browns at home, and anyone playing Cleveland gets a bit of a boost in fantasy.
Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins: Let’s finish up at WR and check out Crowder, who had a pretty good Week 2. He’d finish with six grabs on eight targets for 39 yards and a TD against the Cowboys.
Crowder has a nice 18-target total through two games, and is climbing onto the PPR radar. He’ll get a pretty permissive Giants defense in Week 3.
