Week 7 in the NFL is officially underway, and that means it’s time for us owners to check out the fantasy football waiver wire to see who’s trending out there right now. Let’s take a look at the popular matchup plays and sleepers in the league and see if anyone’s right for your team.

Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers: This one won’t help until next week, but we can’t forget about Adams today. He had a great night against Chicago, bagging 13-of-16 targets for 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns, resulting in 25.2 fantasy points.

Adams now has at least 14.5 points in two of his last three outings, and has amassed five touchdowns on the season. He’ll get the Falcons in Week 8.

Mike Gillislee, RB, Buffalo Bills: Moving on to this week’s crop of hopefuls, let’s check out Gillislee. He’s coming off a 12.1-point effort last week and will be heavily featured this week with LeSean McCoy ailing.

Gillislee is the top waiver wire add right now, and should snag some decent fantasy points against a mid-range Dolphins run defense.

Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Let’s stick with the RBs for a moment and look at Rodgers. He’s coming off a nice game in Carolina before the bye week, logging 30 rushes for 101 yards and 12.9 fantasy points.

Rodgers goes into a nice matchup against the 49ers this week. San Francisco has given up the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this year. He’ll again have a big workload with Doug Martin out.

Tennessee Titans Defense: The Titans defense has been pretty solid lately, with 12 sacks in the last two weeks alone. Tennessee has put up at least six points per game in that span.

The Titans have a favorable matchup coming against Indianapolis this week. The Colts have given up the ninth-most points to opposing defenses this year. After that it’s another nice-looking game against Jacksonville.

Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis Colts: There’s another player worth looking at in that Titans-Colts matchup this weekend, and that’s Doyle. He had a great day against Houston, snagging 4-of-4 targets for 53 yards and a touchdown.

That makes three touchdowns on the year for Doyle, who broke out of his shell after a couple of tough weeks. His effectiveness will hinge a bit on the status of fellow TE Dwayne Allen, but if Allen is out or banged up Doyle will be a nice sleeper play at tight end.
