The Deutsche Bank Championship will kick off on Friday and carry us through Labor Day weekend. Of course, Rory McIlroy opens this event as the heavy favorite with odds of +450, but if you’ve been riding with me throughout the season, you’ll know that I look for some of the dark horses who provide us longer odds with increased chances for more bang for our buck.

Here’s some of the golfers you should consider putting on this week’s card.

2014 Deutsche Bank Championship: PGA Odds, Pick, Predictions, Dark Horses - 8/29/14

USA TODAY Sports

Justin Rose - Once again, we’re getting fairly decent odds with one of the more consistent golfers all season. Justin Rose is +1700 to win this tournament, which is a number you simply can’t refuse. Rose has played in 17 tournaments this season and has finished in the Top 10 seven times. Justin Rose has shot under par in five straight events and of course won the QuickLoans National not too long ago. Rose is first on tour in eagles (holes per) and is seventh on tour with 12 eagles overall. I always like the value of consistency and Justin Rose has been solid enough all year to where the odds he’s getting is simply a steal heading into this weekend.

Henrik Stenson - Henrik Stenson won this event last year by finishing -22 under par, which is tied with Vijay Singh and Charley Hoffman as the best performance on this course. Stenson wasn’t exactly great at The Barclays last week, but he did finish third in the PGA Championship and fourth in the US Open. It’s clear Henrik Stenson has a flair for the big events and should never be counted out when he’s included. Stenson is third on tour in total driving and 10th in driving accuracy percentage. When you add that to the fact Stenson simply dominated this event last year, you’d be crazy to turn down odds of +1600.

Bill Haas - Bill Haas has had an up-and-down season, but it appears he’s finally starting to turn the corner. Haas was a decent -7 last week at The Barclays and finished tied for second in the Wyndham Championship. Haas has 14 Top 25 finishes in 25 events played and two of them have come in back-to-back appearances. Assuming Haas continues to ride this wave of momentum, there’s a good chance he’ll be in the running to win this event heading into the last day. Bill Haas is 11th on tour in total birdies and second in par five performance. With the way he’s played the last couple of weeks, Bill Haas is worth a look at odds of +4000.
