The Tour Championship, aka The TOur Championship by Coca-Cola, will take place this week to help decide the FedEx Cup playoffs. Of course, Rory McIlroy enters the tournament as the overall favorite with odds of +365, but we’re looking for longer shots who can give us a little more bang for our buck to end the PGA season on a high note.

Here are a few golfers who should consider putting on this week’s card.

2014 Tour Championship: PGA Odds, Pick, Predictions, Dark Horses - 9/11/14

USA TODAY Sports

Bubba Watson - Could Bubba Watson be turning the corner after finishing second in last week’s BMW Championship? It was Watson’s first Top 10 finish since the Memorial Tournament, and is a good sign if you think he can carry that momentum into this event. Bubba Watson started the season on fire by winning The Masters and the Northern Trust, but he has fallen off quite hard since then, missing cuts and finishing outside the Top 25. However, Watson was on his game last week and has shown he’s more than capable of stringing together a few solid performances. Watson has the best driving distance on tour and with odds of +1800, you have no choice but to take them with a smile.

Jordan Spieth - Another player who is getting odds of +1800 is Jordan Spieth, who has had a breakthrough season. Spieth has finished in the Top 25 in 18 of his 26 events this season and has two second place finishes. Spieth wasn’t playing great golf leading up to last week, but he did finish tied for eighth at the BMW Championship and will use that to build on what has been an impressive season for the 21-year-old. Spieth has the fifth-best birdie average at 4.02 and is 10th in sand save percentage. Jordan Spieth is a golfer who may be a little underrated heading into each event, but he’s proven that he’s capable of hanging with the big boys and could provide another surprise this week in Atlanta.

Chris Kirk - We’re getting Chris Kirk at odds of +4000. Yeah, you read that right. The guy who is in first place in the FedEx Cup Standings. Kirk will be the first one to tell you he didn’t play well last week at the BMW Championship. However, Kirk did win the Deutsche Bank Championship, and the last time he bombed after a victory, he went on to finish second in the Sony Open. If Chris Kirkis able to bounce back from such a disappointing performance like that again, he’ll give you more than a punchers chance to cash in big. Kirk has 11 Top 25 finishes this season in 27 events, and three of them have been Top 3 finishes. I’ll take massive odds with a solid player every day of the week.
