The Baltimore Orioles look to bounce back on Tuesday from a 7-6 loss at the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
Baltimore twice led by two runs, but twice also saw Arizona pull even during the bottom of the second and seventh off of third baseman Manny Machado' interference and Aaron Hill's RBI-single. The D-Backs went ahead on Martin Prado's single. Arizona's lead was short-lived though with Baltimore's Chris Davis going yard minutes later.

The Orioles scored their other runs courtesy of Wade Miley's (9-8, 3.63 ERA) wild pitch, Brian Roberts' RBI-single, Roberts' RBI-double, Matt Wieters' HR and Nick Markakis' sacrifice fly. The Diamondbacks also struck via Hill's HR, Adam Eaton's single, Wil Nieves' HR and Easton's walk-off HR.
Miguel Gonzalez (8-5, 3.91 ERA) gets the assignment next for Baltimore. Gonzalez hasn't won in four starts so taking the O's here might be wishful thinking. Then again at the San Diego Padres Aug. 7 Gonzalez gave up three runs during six innings in a 10-3 Baltimore victory. Overall on the road the Orioles are 4-7 when Gonzalez tosses so I revert back to the thought of picking Baltimore is risky.
Gonzalez has yielded four runs during 19 frames in his three away wins. In Gonzalez road defeats the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays motored in 15 runs, 14 earned, during 24 innings. Arizona is 3-of-12 with two Eric Chavez RBIs versus Gonzalez who Cody Ross is 0-of-6 against.
The D-Backs combat with Randall Delgado (4-3, 3.48 ERA). Arizona has won Delgado's last five starts including his last three at Chase Field. Delgado however has just one victory at Chase topping SD 10-0 with a complete-game performance.
Delgado's five other home outings saw the opposition strike for 17 runs, 15 earned, during 29 frames. Two of those were Delgado defeats. The O's are 3-of-15 without an RBI or walk versus Delgado. I like the Diamondbacks a little bit more.
