The San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies keep battling in Colorado on Tuesday after the Rockies knocked SD out 14-2 Monday evening.
Colorado ran out to an 8-0 lead after five frames thanks to Wilin Rosario's RBI-single, D.J. LeMahieu's home run, Corey Dickerson's RBI-double, third baseman Chase Headley's error, Jhoulys Chacin's (11-6, 3.18 ERA) sacrifice fly and Dexter Fowler's RBI-single. By the time San Diego got on the scoreboard with Jaff Decker's HR the outcome was well decided.

The Rockies however took exception to the Padres scoring dialing in eight runs during the bottom of the eighth via Rosario's single, Charlie Culberson's single, Nolan Arenado's single, LeMahieu's single and Fowler's double. All of that came after a 63-minute rain delay.
Eric Stults (8-10, 3.50 ERA) gets the next start for SD going 2-5 in his last eight appearances. On the road the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals gifted Stults with losses by sending in 20 runs, 15 earned, during 19 innings.
