The pretending Cleveland Indians and contending Atlanta Braves play a finale Thursday after Cleveland's been canned 2-0 and 3-2 the first two days in Atlanta.
The Braves led Wednesday's excange 2-0 during the bottom of the second following Jordan Schafer's RBI-single. Mike Aviles, though, homered during the fourth and squared things during the eighth for the Indians, who were outhit 10-9. Chris Johnson's single had Atlanta in a frenzy with another walk-off victory. The Braves were 3-of-11 with Runners In Scoring Position, while the visitors were 0-of-7.

Kris Medlen (10-12, 3.74 ERA) heads to the mound next for Atlanta, trying to snap a two-game slide. Medlen's been a streaky pitcher, losing five and three in a row, as well as winning four and three straight games. Medlen is 5-6 at Turner Field, dropping his first three decisions due to yielding eight runs during 14 innings.
Medlen also fell to the Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals at Turner, surrendering nine runs during 11 frames. In Medlen's Turner Field victories, the Miami Marlins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals knocked in 10 runs, seven earned, during 33 innings. Cleveland is 2-of-9 with a couple of walks versus Medlen.
The Indians counter with Ubaldo Jimenez (9-8, 3.65 ERA), who has fallen in three of his four August trips. Jimenez gave up five runs, two earned, Aug. 2 at the Miami Marlins during four frames in a 10-0 defeat. On Aug. 17, Jimenez yielded a run during 5.2 innings against the Oakland Athletics for a win.
Jimenez has two other away losses, surrendering seven runs, five earned, during 8.2 frames. In Jimenez's troad triumphs, aside from Oakland, the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers knocked in four runs during 23.1 innings.
