The St Louis Cardinals take the field Wednesday with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee doesn't have many goals that are within reach this late in the season, but beating the Cardinals would certainly be at the top of the list. That didn't work out as planned, with a quiet offense leading to a 4-2 defeat. This one was in their grasp thanks to starter Wily Peralta, who held the Cards to just three runs on two hits over 6.2 frames, while striking out seven. The bats totaled seven hits, with Logan Schafer connecting on a two-run pinch hit homer in the 9th. The Brewers will be leaning on Marco Estrada to control the heavy hitting Cardinals Wednesday. Estrada has been good and bad in 2013 but has a 6-4 record, despite a high 4.49 ERA.

Lynn has struggled of late with an 0-3 record with an 8.44 ERA, as he looks to right the ship with the postseason nearing.
I don't think either pitcher is a good bet and I'd have a tough time laying the chalk on Lynn, who is having a hard time. Both hurlers have struggled in this matchup and I'm inclined to take a poke at the over...
