The Los Angeles Angels look to close out their series a win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Angels have been playing well with wins in seven of eleven after rallying past the Blue Jays 5-4 on Wednesday. The arms and bats have generally been productive in this stretch although it was the bats that rescued CJ Wilson in this one. Wilson allowed four runs (three earned) over seven innings to get the win. The bats came back from 3-0 and 4-3 holes with Mark Trumbo slugging a two run bomb while Kole Calhoun drove in two more. The Angels are scheduled to start Garrett Richards to the bump for the final game of the series with Toronto. Richards has been throwing well with consecutive victories where he gave up two runs in 12 frames.

Despite Wednesday's defeat the Blue Jays have to be happy with the way they have played over the past few weeks with victories in seven of eleven. Toronto was undoubtably unhappy with the perfomance of off season acquisition RA Dickey who gave up four runs in just five innings before Steve Delabar absorbed the loss with a run plated in the 8th. Moises Sierra and Mark DeRosa rapped run scoring hits in the first with two runs crossing the plate thanks to Angels errors. Left hander JA Happ toes the rubber versus the Angels on Wednesday. Happ has struggled in 2013 but not the last time out when he snapped a three game slide in an 11-2 decision over Minnesota with an unearned run plated in 5.2 innings.
Both teams have been performing well which makes this a difficult call but to me this comes down to the Angels bats versus Happ and that has me looking at the visitors...
