The Cleveland Indians welcome the Chicago White Sox to Progressive Field in AL Central action.
The White Sox have not been winning except for a short stretch a month or so ago so any win is big news. Chicago knocked off visiting Toronto 3-2 on Monday which gave the team consecutive victories which has been a rare sight. Both the arms and bats have been struggling and the offense did so once again but were bailed out by Jose Quintana who gave up both runs on five hits through 7.1 innings of work. The bats posted eight hits and walked four times with Marcus Semien cracking a two run bomb while Avisail Garcia connected on a solo shot. A struggling Hector Santiago looks to break in to the win column against Cleveland Tuesday. Santiago has had problems the last three times out with nine runs given up through 12.2 innings pitched.

I didn't think Cleveland had it in them but they are right in the mix for a Wild Card berth with the team turning on the jets for weeks now. The Indians have won eight of ten after thrashing Houston 9-2 on Sunday. The Pitching and hitting have been second to none in this stretch and both came together in a big way Sunday. Corey Kluber picked up win number ten with both runs given up through 5.1 innings while the bats pounded out 13 hits and walked three times. The balanced Tribe offense received a pair of RBI's each from Carlos Santana, Michael Bourne, Michael Brantley and Mike Aviles. A blistering hot Ubaldo Jimenez gets the call to face the White Sox on Tuesday. Jimenez has won three of four with a no decision and has recorded eight consecutve starts with three runs allowed just once.
The White Sox could really throw a Monkey Wrench in to the postseason plans of Cleveland but it's tough to go against the Indians bats and a hot Jimenez...
