The Houston Astros and the New York Yankees face off on Saturday for game two of their season ending series.

The Houston Astros will finish with the worst record in baseball and on Friday it got one worse as they fell to the Yankees. L.J. Hoes had two hits and Jonathan Villar and Brandon Barnes had hits as the Astros scored two runs on five hits. Starting pitcher Brett Oberholtzer allowed five hits and three runs while striking out four over 5.1 innings to take the loss. For Saturday’s game the Astros start Paul Clemens ho is 4-6 with a 5.69 ERA for the season and 0-2 with a 5.28 ERA in his last three starts.

The New York Yankees seem to go to the post season but that won’t be the case this year however they did get a win on Friday. Mark Reynolds had two hits and Alfonso Soriano and Robinson Cano each had hits as the Yankees scored three runs on six hits. Starting pitcher Adam Warren allowed two hits and struck out four over 5.0 innings to get the win and David Robertson earned the save. For Saturday’s game the Yankees start Andy Pettitte who makes the final start of his career against the only other team he has played for and Pettitte is 10-11 with a 3.88 ERA for the season and 0-2 with a 5.28 ERA in his last three starts.

Houston is 23-55 in their last 78 home games, 21-60 in their last 81 games overall, and 0-4 in Clemens last four starts. New York is 5-1 against the AL West, 2-5 in their last seven road games, and 1-4 in Pettitte’s last five starts. New york is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings of these two.

I look for this to be a Pettitte love in and for him and the Yankees to walk away with the win.

New York Yankees -161
