The Los Angeles Dodgers host NL West rival the Colorado Rockies in the final game of the regular season.
The Rockies picked up a 1-0 decision over the Dodgers on Saturday night to pick their seventh win in eleven contests. The Rockies received a surprisingly strong performance on the mound from Juan Nicasio who has struggled for the majority of 2013. Nicasio gave up three hits and issued one walk over 5.1 frames while striking out seven to even his record at 9-9. The Rickies attack totaled five hits and walked once with Nolan Arenado doubling in a fourth inning run for the only scoring of the game. Colorado sends left hander Jeff Farncis to the bump to face the division rival Dodgers Sunday. Francis has made eleven starts and eleven relief appearances while compiling a 2-5 record with a 6.61 ERA.

The Dodgers seemed to have been coasting since wrapping up the National League West which I'm not sure is by choice or just the way it is. After all this was a team that simply wouldn't lose over a long period that perhaps things are just evening out. A day after exploding offensively the Dodgers couldn't buy a run in Saturday's defeat and it squandered a very strong performance on the mound from Zack Greinke who allowed the lone run on four hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. Los Angeles failed to generate much at the plate on a three hit, four walk attack that threatened a few times. Hyun-Jin Ryu toes the rubber versus Colorado in the final game of the series. Ryu has been steady the entire 2013 campaign with a 14-7 record with a 2.97 ERA while tossing quality starts in eight of ten.
The Dodgers should have the advantage here if they care which they didn't seem to Saturday. I would advise against laying chalk but for a lean I'll give you...
