The Los Angeles Dodgers look to even their NLCS with the Cardinals on Tuesday.

The Cardinals barely did enough offensively to take a 2-0 series lead heading to Los Angeles, but the tables were turned in game three in a 3-0 defeat. The work on the mound was more than strong enough to give the Redbirds a commanding 3-0 series lead, but the offense was silent. In the process was a great performance on the mound from Adam Wainwright, who absorbed the loss with a pair of runs allowed on six hits over seven frames. The bats struggled to four hits and a walk and didn't present much of a threat. The Cardinals give game four's start to Lance Lynn on Tuesday. Lynn dropped a 7-1 decision to Pittsburgh with five runs plated in 4.1 frames and picked up the win in relief in game one versus the Dodgers.

Los Angeles has been less then impressive at the plate through three games before 'breaking loose' in game four to cut the Cardinals series lead to 2-1. The offense didn't need to do much thanks to a fantastic effort by left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu, who made life easy for a struggling offense. Ryu tossed a three-hit shut out over seven innings to get the win, with Brian Wilson and Kenley Jansen finishing things off. The Dodgers attack featured nine hits with Adrian Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig and Hanley Ramirez rapping run scoring hits and Gonzalez also scoring. Los Angeles is scheduled to give Ricky Nolasco the start Tuesday against the visiting Cardinals. This is Nolasco's first appearance in the postseason after finishing 2013 with a 13-11 record and 3.70 ERA.

This not a premeire match up on the mound, although both have had some solid outings. I honestly don't have a great feel for this one and with no line out I'll have time to think about this so please check back.
