The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers will meet Wednesday in the rubber game to decide the first series of the season. The Braves won game 2 on Tuesday with a 5-2 victory.
The Atlanta Braves received a soling outing from Alex Wood, who finished seven innings and allowed just five hits and one earned run. Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman hit their first home runs of the season. In game 3, the Braves will throw out Aaron Harang, who pitched in only four games last season for the New York Mets. Harang is a journeyman pitcher who has a career record of 110-116.

Kyle Loshe gave the Brewers a solid seven innings as well, but he also allowed three earned runs on five hits. The Brewers batters struck out nine times and only scored one run in the first seven innings. Game 3 starter for Milwaukee will be veteran pitcher Matt Garza, who spent last season with the Chicago Cubs. Garza is 67-67 in his career with an ERA of 3.84. Garza has only faced the Braves three times in his eight-year career and is 0-2 with an ERA of 6.43.
The Braves are 2-8 in their last 10 during game 3 of a series and 1-6 in their last 7 games as a road underdog. The Brewers are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. National League East and 16-5 in their last 21 during game 3 of a series. The Braves are 1-9 in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee and 2-8 in the last 10 meetings.
I look for this to be a bounce back season for Garza and don't expect an above-average Brewers lineup to struggle the way it did on Tuesday. Not to mention Harang isn't a real pitcher to fear. I'll take the home favortie at the cheap price.
