The St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs play game three of their weekend NL Central series on Sunday at Busch Stadium.
The St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs have different goals and expectations for this season but against each other the goal is always to flatten their opponent. The Cubs got the best of the Cards on Friday Night but the Cardinals bounced back on Saturday to level the series at a game each. The Caridinals are in the middle of the pack in the NL Central at three games behind the red hot Milwaukee Brewers while the Cubs are in fourth place and five games off the pace setters. For Sunday’s game the Cardinals start young sensation Michael Wacha who is 1-0 after two starts with a 0.71 ERA while Edwin Jackson get the start for the Cubs and he is 0-0 with a 6.30 thus far this season.
USA TODAY Sports
St. Louis is 41-16 in their last 57 home games, 26-12 as a right-handed starter, and 6-2 in Wacha’s last eight starts. Chicago is 4-1 following a loss, 22-48 in their last 70 games, and 1-7 in Jackson’s last eight road starts.
I like the Cards here but these odds aren’t a number I will play but we could think out them in parlays and other exotics.
