The Milwaukee Brewers and the Arizona Diamondbacks face off on Wednesday at Miller park as they continue their series.
The Milwaukee Brewers jumped out to a big early lead on Tuesday but they were unable to hold on as they fell to the Diamondbacks. Scooter Gennett, Lyle Overbay, and Logan Schafer each had two hits as the Brewers scored five runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Marco Estrada allowed four hits and four runs while striking out four over 6.0 innings to get a ni decision as Brandon Kintzler blew the save and took the loss to fall to 1-1 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Brewers start Wily Peralta who is 4-1 in his last five starts. For the season Peralta has allowed 32 hits and nine earned runs while striking out 32 over 39.2 innings for a 4-1 record and a 2.04 ERA.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been horrible this season but they came from behind on Tuesday to get the win. Chris Owings, Paul Goldschmidt, and Aaron Hill each had two hits as the D-Backs scored seven runs on 10 hits. Starting pitcher Josh Collmenter allowed eight hits and five runs, one earned, while striking out three over 5.2 innings to not factor in the decision as Evan Marshall got the win and Addison Reed earned his ninth save. For Wednesday’s game Arizona starts Bronson Arroyo who is coning off of a win in his last start. For the season Arroyo has allowed 39 hits and 21 runs while striking out 16 over 31.1 innings for a 2-2 record an a 6.03 ERA.
Milwaukee is 6-2 following a loss, 2-6 in their last eight games, and 6-1 Peralta’s last seven starts. Arizona is 6-2 in their last eight road games, 14-28 in their last 42 games, and 4-8 in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record. Arizona is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings of these two.
