The Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs face off on Saturday at Turner Field for game two of their series.
The Atlanta Braves didn’t make it look pretty on Friday but they did enough to get the win against the Cubs. Freddie Freeman and Chris Johnson had three hits each and Evan Gattis had two hits as the Braves scored three runs on nine hits. Starting pitcher Julio Teheran allowed one hit and one runs while striking out nine over 8.0 innings to not factor in the decision as Craig Kimbrel blew the save and Alex Wood got he win to go to 3-5 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Braves start Ervin Santana who hasn’t lost a decision this season. For the year Santana has allowed 27 hits and nine runs while striking out 36 over 33.2 innings for a 3-0 record and a 2.41 ERA.
