The San Francisco Giants grabbed an early lead and appeared to be on their way to another win on Saturday but they let it get away and took the loss. Buster Posey had three hits and Hunter Pence and Pablo Sandoval had hits as the Giants scored two runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Matt Cain allowed three hits and two runs while striking out four over 5.0 innings but he didn’t factor in the decision as Jeremy Affeldt blew the save and took the loss. ForSunday’s game the Giants start Tim Hudson who is coming off of a loss in his last start. For the season Hudson has allowed 37 hits and 12 earned runs while striking out 36 over 54.1 innings for a 4-2 record and a 1.99 ERA.
Los Angeles is 6-2 in their last eight game four of a series, 2-5 in their last seven home games, and 57-28 in Kershaw’s last 85 starts as a favorite. San Francisco is 4-1 against the NL West, 6-2 as an underdog, and 5-2 in Hudson’s last seven starts. San Francisco is 8-3 in their last 11 games against the Dodgers.
The Giants have owned the Dodgers this year but it is just tough to go against Kershaw so it will take the Dodgers in a lean.
