The Milwaukee Brewers head to Turner Field to open a series with the Atlanta Braves on Monday.
Milwaukee sits atop the National League Central and possess one of the best records in the game but I get the feeling everytime they lose it will eventually come back to haunt them. A 4-2 loss to the Cubs on Sunday was a step back with the offense stalled and early pitching setting the tone. Marco Estrada struggled early with four runs scored on seven hits including apair of long balls over five innings to absorb the loss. The bats posted three hits and three walks with Rickie Weeks smacking a two run homer. The Brewers open the series with Wily Peralta on the mound. Peralta is a major reason Milwaukee is first in the Central with a 4-2 record and 2.05 ERA covering 52.2 innings of work.

Atlanta and Washington are locked in an early season battle for supremacy in the National League East which will likely be an ongoing battle and makes every win and loss important. The Braves snapped a three game skid behind some 9th inning magic to edge the Cardinals 6-5 on Sunday. Gavin Floyd was victimized by poor defense with three of the four runs allowed being unearned although he gave up seven hits and walked three in 5.1 innings. The offense mustered seven hits and four free passes with Freddie Freeman posting three hits and driving in three including his 8th bomb while Justin Upton went solo. Left hander Mike Minor makes his 4th start of the season after returning from injury. Minor showed he was 100% last time out in a 5-0 victory at San Francisco with six scoreless innings with just three hits allowed.
This one looks to be too close to call in my view which generally means taking the better odds although I'll probably sit this one out...
