The Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Indians face off on Wednesday in Chicago as they continue their AL Central series.
The Chicago White Sox have been up and down this season but they have moved into second place I the AL Central with their win on Tuesday. Gordon Beckham had two hits including a home run, Alexei Ramirez had two hits, and Dayan Viciedo had a hot as the White Sox scored two runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Chris Sale didn’t allow a hit and struck out four over 3.0 scoreless innings but his night was cut short by rain as Scot Carroll got the win and Ronald Belisario earned his third save. For Wednesday’s game the White Sox start hector Noesi who had a no decision in his last outing which was easily his strongest performance of the year. For the season Noesi has allowed 30 hits and 16 earned runs while striking out 22 over 28 innings for a 0-3 record and a 5.14 ERA.

The Cleveland Indians caught a break on Tuesday only having to face three innings of Chris Sale but they were unable to take advantage of it as they fell to the Sox. Ryan Raburn had two hits and Michael Brantley, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Michael Bourn all had hits but the Indians scored just one run on eight hits. Starting pitcher Justin Masterson allowed four hits and a run while striking out three over 3.0 innings but it was enough to take the loss as he fell to 2-4 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Indians start T.J. House who makes his third career start. For the season House has allowed 11 hits and five runs while striking out one over 7.0 innings for an 0-1 record and a 6.43 ERA.
Chicago is 5-1 against the AL Central, 1-4 in game three of a series, and 3-8 at home against a left-handed starter. Cleveland is 21-43 s a road underdog, 1-4 in their last five road games, and 0-4 as an underdog. Cleveland is 1-5 in their last six games in Chicago.
The White Sox are just a different team at home this season and a better team and I look for them to win again here.
