The Washington Nationals will look to sweep the Texas Rangers when they play Sunday afternoon.
The Rangers have now lost three of their last five games and have been getting creamed in this series, allowing 19 runs in the first two games. Of course, pitching has been an issue this season the Rangers and they’re 5-27 when allowing more than three runs. The Rangers haven’t even been getting the job done offensively, scoring two runs apiece in the two games. Alex Rios has gotten on base at least once in 13 of his last 14 games. Getting the nod is Yu Darvish, who is 4-2 with a 2.35 ERA and has 71 strikeouts in 61.1 innings. This will be Darvish’s first career game against the Nationals.

The Nationals have won three of their last five games and are back to a .500 record. They Nats have to feel good with their performance in this series considering the hitting has finally caught up with the pitching. The Nationals have the fourth best ERA in baseball and are 22-2 when scoring more than three runs. Ian Desmond has seven RBI in his last eight games. Tanner Roark will get the start, and he’s 3-3 with a 3.47 ERA and has 46 strikeouts in 62.1 innings. This will be Roark’s first career game against the Rangers.
The Rangers are 10-2 in Darvish's last 12 starts and 4-1 in Darvish's last 5 starts with 9 or more days of rest. The Nationals are 1-4 in Roark's last 5 starts and 1-6 in their last 7 games vs. a right-handed starter.
It's not very often you're going to get Darvish at this price. Take advantage of it while you can.
