The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers collide in the second game of their series on Tuesday night.
The White Sox are hanging tough in the American League Central as they sit second in the division. However they are need of a hot streak especially with first place Detroit on the slow down. That hasn't been happening with losses in three of four after Monday's 5-2 defeat. Starter Jose Quintana was a victim of shoddy defense with all five runs scored in the 6th being unearned. That was game over with the bats posting five hits with Jose Abreu connecting on a two run bomb in in the 4th that appeared to possibly be enough until the defense let them down. Hector Noesi will be on the bump to face the Dodgers for the first time in his career. Noesi doesn't have a great track record but he has logged quality starts in three of his last four outings.

The Dodgers have over taken Colorado for second in the National League West although that's more of a factor of the Rockies struggling. Los Angeles hasn't been setting the world on fire with wins in two of six after knocking off the White Sox 5-2 in the series opener. Ace Clayton Kershaw was in top form with both runs plated on four hits over eight innings to get the win. The bats totaled six hits and walked three times with a five run 6th getting the job done. Justin Turner singled in two and five players scored as the Dodgers bunched the hits together. Dan Haren toes the rubber in game two of the series with the visiting White Sox on Tuesday. Haren has generally been solid on the mound with quality starts in eight of his last ten.
I don't know what to expect from Noesi but I don't think Haren should be such a huge favorite. I'm looking at the over although I think the Dodgers offense is not very good...
