The Los Angeles Dodgers look for some offense when they take the field with the Chicago White Sox Wednesday.
The White Sox were a dangerous team at the plate in the early stages of 2014 but runs have been tough to come by lately. That trend continued in Chicago's 4-1 victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday although the work on the mound was able to take some of the pressure off the bats. Hector Noesi won his first with the lone run plated on five hits and four bases on balls through six innings while recording six strikeouts. The White Sox made their seven hits count with Jose Abreu going deep and driving in three. The White Sox give Wednesday's start to left John Danks in their interleague tilt with the Dodgers. Danks has thrown the ball well in back to back contests with only two runs allowed over 15 innings.

The Dodgers simply can't afford any losing streaks with San Francisco threatening to run away with the division and that isn't happening after Wednesday's defeat left Los Angeles looking at losses in five of seven. Dan Haren didn't have his best stuff with four runs scored on six hits including a pair of long balls over six frames. That was way too much with the offense struggling to score. The bats had a few chances with six hits and seven walks but only managed a sacrifice fly off the bat of Dee Gordon that scored Matt Kemp. Josh Beckett hopes to continue his hot work on the mound when he takes on the White Sox. Beckett followed up his no hitter with a 2-1 defeat to Pittsburgh with both runs allowed through five frames.
Neither team has been racking up the runs and that makes me think under but to be honest I have been struggling with this match up so use caution...
