The Los Angeles Dodgers continued to fall short of their expectations this season as they lost on Saturday to the Rockies. Tim Federowic hit a home run and Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, and Justin Turner each had two hits as the Rockies scored four runs on 10 hits. Starting pitcher Zack Greinke allowed 11 hits and four runs, three earned, while striking out six over 7.0 innings for a no decision as Chris Perez took the loss to fall to 0-3 for the season. For Sunday’s game the Dodgers send their ace of the staff, Clayton Kershaw, to the mound for the start. For the season Kershaw has allowed 40 hits and 16 earned runs while striking out 55 over 43.1 innings for a 4-2 record and a 3.32 ERA.
Colorado is 6-16 in their last 22 games, 1-5 against the AL West, and 25-10 in De La Rosa’s last 35 starts. Los Angeles is 5-3 in their last eight games, 2-5 in game three of a series, and 14-6 in Kershaw’s last 20 starts. Colorado is 3-10 in De la Rosa’s last 13 starts against the Dodgers.
This is one of the tougher games on the board but I will take the home team as a dog in what looks like a coin flip.
