The Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins continue their AL Central tilt on Saturday.
The goal for the White Sox right now is to survive a recent slowdown and stay within reach of the .500 mark. That goal was put on hold Friday in a 5-4 loss at Target Field that has Chicago four games below the breakeven point and battling to stay out of the division basement. Hector Noesi was charged with four runs with Daniel Webb taking the loss with a run allowed in the 9th. Chicago mounted a ten hit attack that received homers from Gordon Beckham and Jose Abreu. The White Sox give Saturday's start to Andre Rienzo who hopes to turn things around at Minnesota. Rienzo has dropped his last three while logging an 11.08 ERA.

Minnesota is in the same boat as their counterparts in that they want to stay around .500 and stay out of the American League Central. They took a step in the right directon with Friday's victory but the bottom line is their work is cut out for them. Ricky Nolasco appeared to be heading for the win Friday with a pair of runs plated through 5.1 innings before Glen Perkins blew the save with two runs scored in the 9th yet getting the win when the Twins scored in the bottom of the 9th. Eduardo Escobar paced a seven hit attack with a pair of RBI's with a run scored while Brian Dozier rapped a walkoff single. Kevin Correia toes the rubber against the visiting White Sox on Saturday. Correia has generally had problems in 2014 with a 3-8 record and 5.28 ERA while the Twins have gone 4-10 in his starts.
I have to say I am not a big fan of the pitching for either side and I won't lay chalk with Correia so I will sit this one out with no real advantage to exploit so take this for what it's worth...
