The New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles face off on Saturday in the Bronx in their AL East series.
The New York Yankees needed late inning heroics to get it done on Friday but in the end they got the win against the Orioles. Carlos Beltran had two hits including the game winning walk-off home run and Brian McCann and Brian Roberts had two hits each as the Yankees scored five runs on 11 hits. Starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda allowed four hits and two runs while striking out six over 6.0 innings to not factor in the decision as David Huff got the win to go to 1-0 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Yankees start Vidal Nuno who has lost his last three decisions and who was rocked in his last start. For the season Nuno has allowed 70 hits and 40 earned runs while striking out 46 over 61 innings for a 1-3 record and a 5,90 ERA.

For the season Norris has allowed 70 hits and 34 earned runs while striking out 56 over 82 innings for a 6-5 record and a 3.73 ERA.
New York is 9-2 against a team with a winning record, 8-2 in their last 10 games, and 2-5 in Nuno’s last seven starts. Baltimore is 6-3 in their last nine road games, 11-5 against the AL East, and 4-1 in Norris’ last five starts in game two of a series. Baltimore is 18-38 in their last 56 games in New York.
