The Houston Astros hope to leave Tropicana Field with a split of their series with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Houston has proven they are a better team then we have seen in past seasons but they certainly are still going to experience some up and downs. The Astros are experiencing the latter right now after a 8-0 defeat Tropicana Field was the team's fifth loss in six contests. Starter Jake Buchanan wasn't any hep with five runs plated in 4.1 innings with Jerome Williams giving up three more. This was well the second the Rays scored with the Stros recording just a single hit. Dallas Keuchel is scheduled to be on the hill to face Tampa Bay on Sunday. Keuchel has been Houston's best option on the mound with an 8-4 record and 2.63 ERA.

I don't know how Tampa Bay finds themselves last in the American League East because the roster has better talent then that. Not enough scoring seems to be the biggest issue although not Saturday but we'll see what happens going forward. Jake Odorizzi turned in one of the best performances of anybody in the game in 2014 with a dominating one hit shutout through 7.1 frame while striking out ten. The offense banged out eleven hits and walked four times with a three RBI afternoon from James Loney leading the way. Left hander Erik Bedard is tasked with wrapping up the series against the visiting Astros. Bedard is coming off of a 7-5 defeat to Baltimore with five runs given up over four innings pitched.
Houston looked like the Astros of the last several years at the plate Saturday and I'm not completely sold on them. I'm not sold on the Rays right now either so give be the better odds...
