USA TODAY Sports
The Chicago White Sox are struggling and their bullpen has let hem down losing large late leads in two of their last three games. The White Sox are 15-25 on the road, 3-7 in their last 10 games, and they are 8.5 games back in the AL Central. As a team the White Sox are hitting .256 with Alexei Ramirez hitting .297, Adam Eaton hitting .284, and Jose Abreu hitting .276. The White Sox pitching staff has an ERA of 4.39 with the starters at 4.66 and the bullpen at 3.90. For Thursday’s game the White Sox start Scott Carroll who has been working out of the bullpen for the past month. For the season Carroll has allowed 56 hits and 22 earned runs while striking out 20 over 46 innings for a 2-3 record and a 4.30 ERA.
Toronto is 10-3 in game one of a series, 1-4 at home against a team with a losing record, and 3-10 in Happ’s last 13 home starts. Chicago is 2-5 in their last seven games after allowing five or more runs, 1-5 against the AL East, and 1-7 in their last eight games. Chicago is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with Toronto.
The price is just ridiculous here on Toronto but the White Sox are just struggling on the road so the best option here Toronto.
