The Los Angeles Angels take their hot streak to U.S. Cellular Field where the Chicago White Sox await.
The Angels have really been putting the pressure on Oakland with their recent hot streak and the question is how long can they sustain such a torid pace. Los Angeles had won eight of ten heading in to Sunday's bout at Kansas City with CJ Wilson on the mound so they had a good shot at staying hot. Instead Wilson squandered a 3-0 lead with four runs plated in only 3.2 with Jason Grilli giving up an unearned walkoff run in the bottom of the 9th. Kole Calhoun and Erick Aybar slugged solo homers but the offense struggled to get going. Garrett Richards takes the ball Monday in the opener versus the White Sox on Monday. Garrett Richards gets the call for the Angels on the hill with an 8-2 record and 2.76 ERA.

The White Sox are still in the mix in the American League Central if they can finish the first half of the regular season strong and then come out firing after the All Star break. Chicago has been looking good with three consecutive victories at Toronto following a 4-0 win on Sunday. Jose Quintana improved to 5-7 with a three hit shutout over seven frames with a pair of relievers finishing things off. Chicago posted eight hits and walked three times with Moises Sierra going deep while Tyler Flowers ripped a two run single. The White Sox send Hector Noesi to the bump where he faces the dangerous offense of the Angels. Hector Noesi looks to improve on his 2-5 record and 5.07 ERA when he faces the visiting Angels Tuesday.
Noesi has looked pretty good lately so going against him is not a guarantee but I'm still going with the hotter team and hoping the bats get some runs...
