The Cincinnati Reds struggles continued on Tuesday as they lost once again in San Diego. Devin Mesoraco had two hits including a home run and Billy Hamilton and Zack Cosart each had two hits as the Reds scored two runs on 11 hits. Starting pitcher Mike Leake allowed 11 hits and three runs while striking out four over 5.2 innings to take the loss and a fall to 6-7 for the season. For Wednesday’s game the Reds start Johnny Cueto who has won his last three decisions. For the season Cueto has allowed 75 hits and 26 earned runs while striking out 122 over 124.1 innings for an 8-5 record and a 1.88 ERA.

San Diego is 6-2 following a win, 3-9 in in game three of a series, and 0-5 in Ross’ last five starts. Cincinnati is 6-3 against the NL West, 13-6 in their last 19 road games, and 39-14 in Cueto’s last 53 starts as a favorite. Cincinnati is 1-5 in their last six meetings against San Diego.

I am not seeing many runs here and my free pick is an easy one, the under. My stronger play is on the winning side and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
