The Toronto Blue Jays look for consecutive victories over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

Milwaukee has kept winning which has made it tough for the rest of the National League Central to make up ground. The Brewers have dropped back to back contests after a 4-1 loss at Toronto on Tuesday which is no big deal unless the defeats keep piling up. Marco Estrada turned in solid effort on the mound with two solo homers given up over six frames with Rob Wooten tagged with two more in the 8th. The Brewers mustered just four hits with Ryan Braun driving in the lone run in the 6th. Wily Peralta will be on the mound to face the Blue Jays for the first time in his career. Peralta is one reason the Brewers are tops in the NL Central with a 9-5 record and 3.20 ERA.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Milwaukee Brewers Pick-Odds-Prediction - 7/2/14

The Blue Jays are still hanging on to the top spot in the American League East although they haven't been setting the world on fire. The offense has struggled to put runs on the scoreboard but did enough Tuesday to snap a three game skid with a 4-1 decision versus Milwaukee. Drew Hutchinson was at the top of his game with the lone run given up on three hits and a pair of bases on balls through seven innings while striking out ten. The offense totaled nine hits with Jose Bautista and Colby Rasmus clubbing solo homers. Left hander JA Happ takes the ball for Tuesday's bout with the heavy hitting Brewers. Happ has been holding his own through the first half of the season where has gone 7-4 with a 4.29 ERA.

Peralta has been fairly steady while Happ has alternated between very good and very bad performances. Last one was good so this one is bad, right? Too close to call so I'll back Milwaukee at better odds...
