The Detroit Tigers continue their road swing with a trip to the west coast to face the Los Angeles Angels.
Detroit is looking to win some games and put some room between them and the rest of the American League Central. It was mission accomplished Tuesday withe Detroit offense opening up in an 11-5 decision at Arizona for their 3rd win in four games. Starter Anibal Sanchez struggled over 6.1 innings with all five runs plated on eleven hits to improve to 7-4 thanks to the bats. The Tigers racked out eleven hits with Austin Jackson, Miguel Cabrera and Alex Avila each driving in three runs. The Tigers go with Max Scherzer on the bump who squares off with the Angels for the second time. The defending Cy Young winner is 11-3 on the season with a 3.34 ERA.

Garrett Richards is scheduled to be on the bump to control a dangerous Tigers attack. Richards has been the staff ace with an 11-2 record and 2.47 ERA with Los Angeles going 15-5 in his outings.
