The Milwaukee Brewers head to Tropicana Field to square off with the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night.
Milwaukee has been red hot which is bad news for the rest of the National League Central as the arms and bats have been on the same page for the past few weeks. The Brewers did come up on the wrong end of a 2-0 loss to the Mets on Sunday but have still won five of seven. Starter Jimmy Nelson was the tough luck loser with a two run homer served up to Lucas Duda in the 6th doing him in. The Brew Crew struggled with the bats in their hands with six hits with Khris Davis and Jean Segura going 2-4. The Brewers kick off their series with the Rays with Kyle Lohse on the hill Monday. Lohse has been the ace of the Brewers rotation with an 11-4 record and 3.07 ERA over 21 starts where the team has gone 15-6.

Tampa Bay has been the hottest team in the game over the last two weeks with nine consecutive victories where the work on the mound and at the plate have been outstanding. All good things must come to an end and they did Sunday in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of visiting Boston. The offense faltered and Chris Archer made one bad pitch when David Ortiz clubbed a three run homer in the third which was enough to lose with the bats unable to mount a significant attack. The Rays totaled five hits and walked six times with Ian Desmond ripping a two run double. Jake Odorizzi is scheduled to be on the mound in Monday's opener versus visiting Milwaukee. Odorizzi has thrown the ball well in his last three outings with a 2-1 record and 2.95 ERA over 18.1 innings.
I think an argument could be made for backing either team but I'll back the home team although I won't be touching them in a tossup in my view but I reserve the right to change as I look further in to it...
